Volunteers are needed on November 1 and December 6 for the naturalization ceremonies taking place in downtown Buffalo at the U.S. Courthouse. You will meet people from many countries and help them register to vote. If you are interested, please email Deborah Shiffner via the League office and let her know the date you are available.
We have need of more people to help out at candidate forums. We have developed a training PowerPoint as a resource to help anyone feel comfortable in the roles needed at each event. Please consider joining us in this important voter education effort. The League has well-earned respect for our fair and civil events that give citizens an opportunity to hear directly from candidates about the issues that matter to voters. Send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to learn more or, better still, are willing to volunteer. There will surely be events in the spring for primaries and school board elections.
If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please email the League office or give us a call at (716) 986-4898.
