LWVBN Voters' Guide 2011

To the Voter:

The 2011 Voters' Guide includes biographical information and the answers to questions relating to areas of concern to the League of Women Voters from candidates for the following offices:

Erie County

  • Justice of the New York State Supreme Court, 8th Judicial District
  • Member of New York State Assembly, 148th District
  • Family Court Judge
  • County Executive
  • County Clerk
  • County Legislator, 11 Districts

Niagara County

  • Member of New York State Assembly, 148th District
  • Family Court Judge
  • County Clerk
  • District Attorney
  • County Legislator, 15 Districts

This year LWVBN participated in Vote411, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of New York State, to gather and publish candidate information. Not all candidates responded.

Information has been verified with the Erie County and Niagara County Boards of Elections as of October 15, 2011.

Voting is an important part of being a U. S. citizen. The people who are elected this year will make decisions about things that directly affect your life, like your taxes, the education of your children and/or grandchildren. Voting is your opportunity to choose the decision makers and tell them what you want. In NY State, before you can vote you need to register (sign up).

To vote you must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be 18 years old by November 8, 2011
  • Live at your present address for at least 30 days before Election Day
  • Be registered to vote
