The Lake Erie Basin Committee (LEBC), at its meeting in Oregon, OH, on October 17, 2007, identified the pressing need for informational and educational outreach on the topic of CAFOs (Confined Animal Feeding Operations).
CAFO Outreach is a grassroots, informational initiative that will continue through December 2008. The goal is to give a BIGGER VOICE to our rural and state Leagues that are engaged in action on the CAFO issue. So the more people we can inform, and the more signatures we can get, the more successful this effort will be.
